Tim Clinton and Matt Peed Named to 2025 Washington DC SuperLawyers List
Each year for the last decade, Washington DC SuperLawyers Magazine has selected founding partner Tim Clinton to its list of "Super Lawyers"; and this year, it also selected partner Matt Peed to the list. Clinton and Peed were first selected for inclusion in the list of "Rising Stars" for 2014 and 2015; and partner Alec Rosenberg was selected for inclusion in the “SuperLawyers” lists of 2014 and 2015, before Clinton was first named to the “SuperLawyers” list in 2016.
SuperLawyers asserts that selection to the list is the result of “a patented multiphase selection process” aimed at identifying the “top 5%” of lawyers in a given area:
Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. Since Super Lawyers is intended to be used as an aid in selecting a lawyer, we limit the lawyer ratings to those who can be hired and retained by the public.
C&P partner Alec Rosenberg, who regularly works with Tim on contentious matters, says “This is a well-deserved recognition. Tim is a courageous and strategically brilliant trial lawyer. His legal analytical and storytelling skills are second to none, he prioritizes candor and credibility, and he relishes taking on bullies and bad actors. I would hate to be on the other side of a dispute with him.”
Tim is a trial lawyer and the managing partner of Clinton & Peed, and his practice focuses primarily on litigation and arbitration representing parties—individuals and businesses—that have been seriously injured or wronged, in a broad range of contexts (including breach of contract, business torts, fraud, and personal injury/medical malpractice). Matt Peed is a trial and appellate lawyer with an emphasis on criminal defense and related civil matters (e.g., representing board members and key employees in civil disputes involving their respective companies).
