Tim Clinton Selected for 2022 Washington, DC Super Lawyers

For the seventh consecutive year, Washington DC SuperLawyers Magazine has selected founding partner Tim Clinton to its list of "Super Lawyers." Before first being named to the list in 2016, Clinton and partner Matt Peed were selected for inclusion in the list of "Rising Stars" for 2014 and 2015; and partner Alec Rosenberg was selected for inclusion in the “SuperLawyers” lists of 2014 and 2015.

Clinton’s selection, according to SuperLawyers, is the culmination of a “patented multiphase selection process” that combines “peer nominations and evaluations [with] third party research” based on “12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement”:

This selection is the result of ‘peer nominations and evaluations [with] third party research’ based on ’12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.'

The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. Since Super Lawyers is intended to be used as an aid in selecting a lawyer, we limit the lawyer ratings to those who can be hired and retained by the public, i.e., lawyers in private practice and Legal Aid attorneys. The Super Lawyers patented selection process involves three basic steps: creation of the candidate pool; evaluation of candidates by the research department; and peer evaluation by practice area. The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

“I have been really fortunate to find a career in which I can pursue my passion for helping victims of injustice,” says Tim. “While I have handled a broad range of litigation matters, the ones I enjoy most involve contingent or other alternative fee agreement in which our firm is taking a risk alongside our clients. As for the quality of our firm’s work, nearly everything we do is the product of substantial collaboration, so it is rarely the case that a brief with my name on it was not substantially improved by my colleagues. Inclusion on this type of this is always—in my view—as much a reflection of my colleagues’ work is it is of mine.”

Tim is a trial lawyer and the managing partner of Clinton & Peed (est. February 2008), and his practice focuses primarily on representing plaintiffs—individuals and small businesses—that have been seriously injured or wronged, in a broad range of contexts (including personal injury, medical malpractice, consumer fraud, breach of contract, and business torts).
