Rebecca Carter joins Clinton & Peed as Senior Associate

We are thrilled to announce that Rebecca Carter has joined Clinton & Peed as a senior associate attorney. Before joining Clinton & Peed, Rebecca practiced at Williams & Connolly and Winston & Strawn, where she represented Fortune 500 companies as well as pro bono clients in civil rights, environmental, antitrust, and complex commercial matters. She also worked on large-scale coordinated proceedings, including Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) and Judicial Council Coordinate Proceeding (JCCP). Early in her career, Rebecca clerked for a federal judge in Chicago.

Rebecca received her law degree from the UCLA School of Law (after a year as a visiting student at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law), where she was the Managing Editor of the National Black Law Journal and Secretary of the Black Law Students Association. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Miami.

Rebecca will be an incredible addition to our team. In her first week alone, she quickly came to understand the intricacies of a quarter-billion-dollar dispute over real property in which we represent the plaintiff, prepared to take the lead role in a wrongful death and survivorship action on behalf of the estate and family of a young man murdered by a co-worker, and drafted a complaint in a complex contract and tort case relating to the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul in August 2021.
