For the Second Consecutive Year, Matthew Peed & Tim Clinton Have Been Selected for Inclusion in the SuperLawyers, Rising Stars Edition

For the second year in a row, Washington DC SuperLawyers Magazine has selected partners Matthew Peed and Tim Clinton to their list of “Rising Stars” for 2015.

The selection of Mr. Peed and Mr. Clinton for inclusion in the publication, according to SuperLawyers, was the culmination of a “patented multiphase selection process” that combines “peer nominations and evaluations [with] third party research” based on “12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement”:

This selection is the result of ‘peer nominations and evaluations [with] third party research’ based on ’12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement'”
The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. Since Super Lawyers is intended to be used as an aid in selecting a lawyer, we limit the lawyer ratings to those who can be hired and retained by the public, i.e., lawyers in private practice and Legal Aid attorneys. The Super Lawyers patented selection process involves three basic steps: creation of the candidate pool; evaluation of candidates by the research department; and peer evaluation by practice area. The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, with one exception: to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less.

This announcement comes shortly after Mr. Clinton was named (again, for the second year in a row), “Top 40 Under 40” among D.C.’s criminal defense lawyers by the American Society of Legal Advocates. In light of Clinton Brook & Peed’s strong emphasis on collaboration, all such awards reflect the hard work and dedication to client service of the entire firm, and not of any one attorney.
